There is a new social networking site to connect Indigenous scholars, researchers, and policy developers from around the world.
IndigiLINK is an online Indigenous knowledge sharing platform that will allow collaboration between Indigenous knowledge holders, government agencies, organizations, and professional and academic communities.
"IndigiLINK really is an extraordinary and highly adaptive communications tool developed by a team of APRCi colleagues based at Western University. IndigiLINK really is a marvelous tool and I am encouraged by its potential to be a lead source for future Indigenous knowledge sharing," says Dr. Jerry White, APRCi (Aboriginal Policy Research Consortium International) and IndigiLINK project lead.
Developers say the site is user-friendly and easily accessible to anyone wanting to expore and connect with like-minded individuals on an array of subject matter relating to Indigenous research and policy development initiatives.
white is proud of IndigiLINK and believes it has a lot of potential.
"The IndigiLINK platform is an excellent example of a best practice model in collaborative efforts, it is a powerful communication tool and will prove its worth as the 'go-to' source for the world Indigenous policy and research community."
IndigiLink is a collaborative effort between APRCI, Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC), International Indigenous Policy Journal (IIPJ) and the Indigenous Health and Well-being Initiative (IHWI).
