Saskatoon Tribal Council Elects Vice Chief

Delegates of the Saskatoon Tribal Council member First Nations elected Mark Arcand as Tribal Vice Chief at the assembly held on October 17, 2013 at the Dakota Dunes Casino on the Whitecap Dakota First Nation.
Vice Chief Mark Arcand is a member of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation and has served the tribal council for six years, most recently as the Labour Force Development Partnership Manager and as Youth Sport, Culture and Recreation Coordinator.
Former Tribal Vice Chief Geraldine Arcand of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation held the position for one two-year term and one three-year term consecutively.
The Saskatoon Tribal Council's mandate is to improve the quality of life for First Nations through a diversity of programs and services in the areas of education, economic development, training and employment, affordable housing, health, family and children supports. STC serves the seven First Nation communities of Kinistin, Mistawasis, Muskeg Lake, Muskoday, One Arrow, Whitecap, Yellow Quill and residents of the City of Saskatoon.
