Métis Nation-Saskatchewan candidates' forum Friday May 5
- EFN Staff | May 02, 2017
With a pivotal election for the Métis community looming on May 27, twenty-one candidates for the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan executive positions have hit the campaign trail with a sense of urgency. Interest is high with a record number of presidential candidates at nine, vice-president with six, and with three candidates for secretary and treasurer each.
Citizens will get a chance to hear the platforms of the candidates at the first political forum on Friday May 5th at Station 20 West in Saskatoon from 6 to 8pm. All of the executive candidates have been invited and will be given time to explain their platform and then answer specific questions for each position from a moderator. The two candidates for Area Director of Western Region IIA, Rebecca Major and Kelly Pruden, will also be given time.
The forum is free to the public.
