Team Saskatoon second in 3x3 hometown debut

The largest 3x3 basketball tournament in the world made its debut in downtown Saskatoon this past July. The 2017 event, which made its debut in Athens, Greece, and is currently organized by Saskatoon Sports Tourism, in partnership with Canada Basketball, will also make its home here in beautiful bridge city for the next FIBA 3x3 World Tours in 2018 and 2019.
Team Saskatoon favourites Michael Linklater, Michael Lieffers, Nolan Brudehl and Steve Sir finished 2nd losing to heavy hitters Ljubljana - Brezovica of Slovakia 21-14 in the first Masters of the World Tour final. This win secures their (SLO) ticket to the Bloomage Beijing Finals coming up later on in the season.

Team captain Michael Linklater produced 6 points in the losing effort in a thrilling final game for Team Saskatoon.
