Cook-Searson re-elected as LLRIB chief

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band has re-elected its incumbent chief, Tammy Cook-Searson.
Cook-Searson won 1,022 votes. She had nearly double as many votes as her closest competitor, Morris Cook, who earned 546 votes.
Eight people ran for chief of LLRIB in this year's election.
Unofficial results for Council:
Councillors for Little Red River are Keith Mirasty (re-elected) and newly elected Lawrence Halkett.
Councillors for Stanley Mission are John Roberts and Bernice Roberts, both of whom were re-elected, and newly elected Linda Charles.
Re-elected councillor for Grandmother's Bay is Leon Charles.
