The RCMP in La Ronge continue to look for information regarding missing person, William Taylor. Taylor left Fox Point on Lac La Ronge on December 17th, 2015 on a snowmobile, headed to La Ronge. He never arrived. The family contacted the La Ronge RCMP to file a missing person’s report the next day. Multiple air and ground searches have been conducted by the RCMP, Civil Air Search and Rescue and volunteers since he was reported missing.
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band contributed significant time and resources into the search including numerous volunteer hours and the use of two Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles. The Canadian Search and Disaster Dogs Association were also brought in to aid the search after snowmobile tracks on the lake appeared to end at an area of broken ice. The investigation by police and subsequent extensive searches thus far have failed to locate Billy Taylor.
The RCMP are asking the public as they are out visiting cabins, trap-lines, or out on the lake that they be on the lookout for any items or indication of activity that may assist in locating Taylor. Taylor is 5'7" tall and 190 lbs. He was last known to be wearing a bright orange vest and driving a red 440 Polaris Snowmobile.
Anyone who has information that might assist in locating Taylor can contact the La Ronge RCMP at 306-425-6730.
