OLCN Chief facing assault charges

The Chief of the Onion Lake Cree Nation is facing assault charges.
On May 18, 2015, Onion Lake RCMP received a complaint of an assault that occurred at a private residence on Onion Lake First Nation.
The investigation was ongoing since the initial complaint was received and sent to Crown for review of potential charges.
Fox is charged with:
- 2 counts, assault, section 266 of the Criminal Code
- 1 count, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, to wit a knife, section 88 of the Criminal Code
- 1 count, utter threats to damage property, section 264.1(1) of the Criminal Code
He was arrested without incident by Onion Lake RCMP on Monday, October 26. Fox was released on conditions and will appear in Onion Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
