The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) is pleased to announce the grand opening of a 5,000 square foot expansion at the Gold Eagle Casino (GEC) in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
GEC has undergone a major refresh and expansion of their facilities and visitors will now see an additional 5,000 square feet added to the 34,033 square foot entertainment facility.
“This expansion will augment GEC’s position as a premier entertainment destination in the Battlefords region. We are pleased to present upgraded facilities and state of the art technologies in our new space that will enhance the patron experience,” said Zane Hansen, President and CEO of SIGA.
Gold Eagle Casino now features two separate entrances for smoking and non-smoking sections with an upgraded HVAC system with air coming through a raised floor. This will significantly improve the air quality in the facility. It is important to note that this will go a long way towards keeping the air cleaner for patrons and employees.
A three-day celebration of the expansion will be held August 25th - 27th, 2015 to highlight the recent improvements at the casino. The three day event features everything from great entertainment and food, to exciting opportunities to win prizes and see SIGA’s Hot Air Balloon.
Gold Eagle Casino’s General Manager Kelly Atcheynum is looking forward to patron responses to the casino expansion. “We want our loyal patrons to come out and experience for themselves this exciting new space, and take advantage of the three day celebration events being planned.”
Hansen also shared that this development signals SIGA’s continued commitment to North Battleford and the surrounding communities. “We have a prominent location in the Battleford’s region with great employees, and very loyal patrons,” he says. “We are pleased to continue our part in the community by creating jobs, helping drive the tourism industry, and making a positive impact locally through community investment and volunteering.”
